Court gives go-ahead to Saemangeum plan   The Supreme Court gave a green light to the controversial Saemangeum land reclamation project yesterday rejecting an appeal from environmental groups that have opposed the scheme since 1991. the 2.16 trilion won project is aimed at turning the Saemangeum tidal flats, about 270 kilometers south of Seoul, into 40,100 hectares of arable farmland and a freshwater reservoir by building a 33-kilometer seawall.
